Description:
Purpose: Introduction to Internet Marketing offers adult learners and entrepreneurs an intensive overview of Internet Marketing theory and practical application that will enable them to:
1. Operate in the fast-paced field of marketing products/services via the Internet by gaining an understanding of the key terms of the industry, including the importance of web design/development, advertising, public relations and sales.
2. Gain an entrepreneurial perspective and understanding of applicable e-commerce business models to best determine which model(s) match particular products/services to the appropriate audience.
3. Evaluate an array of digital media tools and distribution channels such as Podcasts, video, blogs, email blasts and other interactive Web applications and determine which distribution methods best meet specific campaign needs.
4. Understand website design principles (Best Practices) and available Web-based advertising vehicles including: banner ads, organic Search Engine Optimization (SEO), Pay Per Click (PPC) and Affiliate Marketing. Learn how these principles build brand equity and drive revenue generation.
